Whitening is cosmetic and usually isn't covered by insurance, but your exam and cleaning often are. We check your benefits and explain your expected cost before treatment.

Will whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Some people have temporary sensitivity. We take steps to reduce it and can adjust your plan if your teeth feel sensitive.
How long do results last?
Results vary with your habits. Coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco stain teeth faster. Occasional touch-ups with your custom trays help maintain your shade.
Can I whiten my crowns or veneers?
No. Whitening only works on natural teeth. If you plan to replace old crowns or fillings, it's best to whiten first so we can match the new shade.
Do I need a checkup before whitening?
Yes. Whitening works best on healthy teeth and gums, so we'll do an exam and cleaning first.
Is whitening covered by insurance?
Usually not, since it's cosmetic. Ask about our self-pay discount and financing through CareCredit, Cherry or HFD.
